Core Stability and Balance

In recent years, core strengthening exercises have become a primary component of most functional exercise programs. However, It is not enough to just do sit ups and back extensions. At (RE)FIT we believe in developing core strength through functional, dynamic exercises involving all the muscle groups of the body in a way that challenges both stability and balance. Our exercises are designed to promote strength, stability and muscle balance throughout the entire body in order to:

Reduce the incidence of chronic back and neck pain associated with incorrect posture

Reduce the likelihood of acute back pain and injury during physical activities

Help prevent falls in older populations through enhanced proprioception and balance

Increase functional strength for daily living, occupational and recreational activities
