Tom (Knut Thomas) Schneiker

Tom Schneiker is the owner and founder of (RE)FIT Exercise Physiology. After completing a Diploma of Health Science, Tom initially worked in the health industry as an accredited personal trainer and massage therapist. During this time, Tom completed a degree in Human Movement and Exercise Science at the University of Western Australia. In 2003, Tom was awarded the Rod Fry Prize in Human Movement, awarded to the highest ranked student completing a Bachelor of Exercise Rehabilitation or a Bachelor of Science degree with First Class Honours in Human Movement and Exercise Science. Subsequently, Tom was awarded two scholarships to commence a PhD in Exercise Physiology at UWA. He has since published and presented his own, as well as collaborative, research in peer reviewed journals and national and international conferences. In 2007, Tom accepted a full-time position as an associate lecturer in exercise science at UWA. The following year he accepted a position as a clinical exercise physiologist at a private medical practice, thereby gaining valuable experience in private practice before opening (RE)FIT in 2010.
